Leila has been studying movement her whole life; first as a dancer, then as a certified Pilates Instructor, and then as a certified Level 1 GYROTONIC® Instructor. She has worked with many people who were frustrated by limitations from pain or injury who finally found a pathway to fitness and healing through these movement systems. She has also worked with advanced movers who felt they had reached a plateau and were able to have breakthroughs. Leila has taken many movement continuing education courses including Movement Medicine, a Pilates-based rehabilitation training taught by Nora St. John. Leila’s teaching incorporates experiential anatomy and self-myofascial release. She has been influenced by a variety of movement modalities including Argentine Tango and Axis Syllabus. She brings her joy of movement and a sense of mirth to her teaching.
