In Injury Proof Your Yoga and Fitness Practice, you will learn:
•How to apply critical thinking skills to your movement experience.
•Underlying reasons for pain and discomfort in popular yoga poses and traditional fitness exercises, including lunges, warrior poses, push ups and Chaturangas, balancing pose transitions, squats, plies and more!
•Corrective exercises to strengthen your weak links, reduce tension, and minimize the risk of injury.
•How to use props (foam rollers, resistance bands, small hand weights) + the Pilates Springboard to improve body awareness and functional movement patterns.
•An updated approach to stretching, based on modern exercise science.

Trina Altman, B.S., PMA®-CPT, STOTT PILATES® certified instructor, E-RYT 500, is the creator of Yoga Deconstructed® and Pilates Deconstructed®, which both take an interdisciplinary approach to foster an embodied understanding of yoga and Pilates and their relationship to modern movement science.
She has presented at Kripalu, the Yoga Alliance Leadership Conference, Yogaworks, and multiple yoga conferences. She also created and taught a Pilates Deconstructed® continuing education course for physical therapists and was part of the faculty for the Brain Longevity® conference at UCLA.
