Lauren is a firm believer that prenatal, birth, and postpartum care it is isn’t a luxury… it is a necessity; that the way in which a woman is supported in the time before, during, and after birth has a profound effect on the physical, mental, and spiritual health of the woman, her children and family, and her community.  She learned through her own experience that the traditions of care and support for a woman and her baby, or what was formerly known as ‘common sense,’ has all but been been forgotten, and she is determined to help bring back this “lost art.”

Lauren has spent the past few years working with pregnant and postpartum women – helping prepare physically and mentally for childbirth and motherhood, supporting families during childbirth as a birth doula, and helping with the postpartum recovery process through vaginal steaming, abdominal massage, belly binding, and personal therapeutic pilates and yoga sessions, where she addresses diastasic recti, pelvic floor issues, sacro-iliac pain, symphysis pubis and overall recovery and strengthening after pregnancy and childbirth.

She is STOTT Pilates & Yoga Alliance Prenatal/Postpartum Yoga certified, a Hypnobabies doula, and has a deep understanding of anatomy, physiology, and movement theory.  A firm believer in the importance of mind-body connection and the holistic benefits of this work, Lauren infuses her teaching with enthusiasm, humor and a personal connection that communicates her faith in the importance and joy of healthy movement.  She believes that Pilates and Yoga are transformative and empowering, lending clients a deep sense of agency in their own physical and personal experience, whatever that may mean for them.
